♦ Scripture: Acts 11:1–18
♦ Today is the last day for children’s church until September. We thank all of the teachers who volunteered throughout the year to teach and enhance our youth program.
♦ Flags are placed in our cemetery in honor of those who are buried there and who have served our country. Memorial Day is a day set aside for remembering and honoring persons who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces; at Swift we choose to honor all veterans. If you know of someone in our cemetery who was a veteran but has not been recognized, please call the church office. Thanks to Moe and Kathy Menk and Judy Walker, who placed the flags this holiday.

as we discuss Philip Yancy’s study on prayer.
Topic: “Why Pray?” • Children and youth classes are on a seasonal break
and will resume in September.

and younger may go to the nursery. Children in grades K–4
may go to children’s church.

in the fellowship hall.
♦ We celebrate the Lord’s Supper. All are invited to the table to partake
of the bread of life and the cup of salvation by intinction.
Swift Church offers children’s church (grades K–4) during the 10:00 service after “Time with the children.” It normally is offered each Sunday except for communion Sundays. It will be on seasonal break from June 2 until September.
‘Time with the children’ Our 10 a.m. services normally include this segment focused on young worshipers.
Notes and reminders at a glance
♦ Pastor Keith began his sabbatical leave on April 22. He will attend conferences, do self-study, and strengthen his overall physical, spiritual, and emotional health. He will return to the office on July 15. Please keep him and Lisa in your prayers.
♦ Chancel choir rehearsals are on Sundays at 9 a.m. in the music room.
♦ The next food pantry distribution is Wednesday, June 12, from 10 a.m. until noon. On May 22, the pantry served 41 families — the most ever.
♦ An English as a second language class is Fridays from 9 to 11 a.m. in the fellowship hall.
♦ Hearing assistance devices are available in the sanctuary. Please ask a greeter. Also ask a greeter if you need to know where restrooms are located.
