Christian education
►‘Snacks with Susan and Daryl’ discussion class

Sundays from 9 to 9:45 a.m. in annex room 4

Join us for Snacks with Susan and Daryl as the Robertson men of the hit television show “Duck Dynasty®” tell stories and discuss some of the Bible’s most-loved parables. In this five-session video-based small-group Bible study, we are going to look at faith-based values and how to apply them to your life. Let’s explore this together.

Sessions:

      Redonkulous Faith
      Radical Forgiveness
      Ravenous Prayer
      Real Obedience
      Rowdy Kindness

Join us for Snacks with Susan and Daryl every Sunday morning at 9 in annex room 4 for a bite to eat and some thought-provoking conversation.

►Adult Bible study class, led by Bill and Catherine

Sundays from 9 to 9:45 a.m. in annex room 2

We will continue our study in Leviticus, chapters 6 and 7.

Leviticus contains commandments given to Moses by God at the foot of Mount Sinai over about a one-month period just prior to the Israelites’ journey to the Promised Land.

Leviticus contains instructions for worship and personal holiness. Although the New Testament (the New Covenant) abrogates Old Testament ceremonial law, the Levitical priesthood, and the sanctuary, the Book of Leviticus offers us greater insight into the nature of God and how He wants us to relate to Him.

If you are new to the class, don’t worry about missing previous lessons. As in the rest of the Bible, each verse is almost a lesson in itself. Visitors and new class members are always welcome. We have coffee brewed and take turns bringing pastries.

The class meets in annex room 2 on Sundays at 9 a.m. We look forward to seeing you.

The Hope Bag Project

Amy Schulz is the passionate founder and president of Gift of God Ministry. A former foster mom, Amy experienced firsthand the emotional and practical challenges children face when entering foster care. Her heart for vulnerable children and her desire to be a light in their most difficult moments inspired the creation of the ministry. Today, she leads the organization with compassion and purpose, overseeing its growth, outreach, and mission to provide hope and dignity to every child we serve.

The Gift of God Ministry provides the following to children entering and in foster care.

■ Hope bags — The hope bag contains clothing, shoes, and personal care items. For little ones, the bag includes diapers, wipes, bottles, blankets, stuffed animals, coloring books and crayons. For older children, feminine kits, colored pencils and journals are included.

■ Birthday bags — Many children in foster care never have experienced receiving a birthday gift. Bags are thoughtfully made with favorite items and surprises for the boys at the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Boys Ranch.

■ Feminine kits — The need for feminine products often arises unexpectedly. To ensure these girls feel prepared and confident, these discreet bags are filled with essential supplies.

■ Holiday gifts — These include Christmas stockings, Easter baskets, and Valentine’s bags filled with thoughtful treats and small gifts. The current focus is on making the holidays brighter for the boys at the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Boys Ranch but hopefully will include Baldwin County.
