    Therese K. Roberts
    Nov. 29, 1920 – Jan. 30, 2018


    Therese Keller Roberts, 97, a lifelong resident of the Miflin community, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.

    She was a lifelong member of Swift Presbyterian Church.

    Miss Roberts taught in the public school system and was a principal in Baldwin County for 44 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, United Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of the American Revolution.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Byard and Anna Roberts; nephew, Robert A. Gordon Jr.; brothers, (infant) Byard Wilmer Roberts, George Gavin (Cotton) Roberts; and a sister; Miriam Cornelia Gordon.

    The family includes her nephew, William B. “Bubba” (Susanna) Gordon Sr. of Pensacola, Florida; two nieces, Meg (Bob) Jones of Atmore, Anna (Kaki) Russell of St. Petersburg, Florida; and great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves many other relatives and friends.

    The funeral service was Saturday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Swift Presbyterian Church.

    The family received friends in the chapel one hour prior to the service.

    After a graveside service in the church cemetery, there was a light reception in the fellowship hall.

    In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Swift Presbyterian Church.

    Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., Elberta, handled the arrangements. You can sign the guestbook or leave a memory on the funeral home website
