God is good all the time.
Today is the final date to turn in your church survey. If you have not completed a survey, please do so before leaving Sunday morning. There will be blank surveys and return boxes in the sanctuary and in the fellowship hall.
To date, the participation rate has been about 28 percent.
Our church leadership is genuinely interested in your survey answers to help in planning the future for Swift Church.

| Sue Ann Lay served our church faithfully for many years and was a keeper of church records and church memories. Her family has given the church a scrapbook, photos, and newspaper articles she collected. These will be on display in the fellowship hall for several Sundays for you to view. Take a look and see if you recognize anyone.

Open Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m.
This week, the food pantry served 56 families, including 226 people.
If you are interested in helping or know of someone who might be interested, please consider getting involved or at least share the opportunity to volunteer with others.

“Searching for God” is a six-session series that investigates the different ideas within American culture that have shaped the way we think and distorted our understanding of who God is. Filmmaker Brandon McGuire conducts man-on-the-street interviews to uncover the wide variety of beliefs the average Westerner may hold, including:
• Good people go to heaven; bad people end up in hell.
• All religions are basically the same.
• It’s about rules.
• Christianity is about controlling people.
• No religion can be the only way to God or spirituality.
In short, religion is an area of much confusion. Searching for God explores questions such as: What is Christianity? What are some of the ideas that have influenced the way people think about it? And is there any evidence for God?

The class will not meet on Sunday, June 1. Catherine and Bill will be traveling.
Join us on June 8 as we continue studying the book of Hebrews.
This masterful document was written to the Jews who were struggling with accepting Jesus as the Messiah. The message of Hebrews is that Christianity surpasses Judaism because it has a better covenant and a more sufficient sacrifice for sins. We are taking the book verse by verse, discovering how the Old Testament writings pointed toward the New Covenant.
If you are new to the class, don’t worry about missing previous lessons. As in the rest of the Bible, each verse is almost a lesson in itself.
Visitors and new class members are always welcome. We have coffee brewed and take turns bringing pastries. We look forward to seeing you.

Thank you for recognizing me for my five-year anniversary at Swift Church. It has been a joy to work in the office and to help with many projects and in other capacities.
I began work with the church during the pandemic and hardly met anyone during the first year. There has been a retiring pastor, an interim pastor, and a new pastor, with many visiting pastors in between. But the one constant has been you, the dedicated members of this church, who love, support and care for each other. That is what makes me love working at Swift. And having my daughter and granddaughter here is just a gift from God.
