    ■ We will collect our “two cents a meal” offering. This goes to help buy supplies, snacks, etc., for Elberta Elementary School children.

    ■ The session meets after the 8:00 and 10:00 service to receive people into membership. If God is leading you to become a part of this church family, please come forward at that time.

    ■ Prayer tree ribbons are available to tie on the tree, commemorating each person’s prayer.

     Hearing assistance devices are available in the back.

     After “Time with the children,” those in preschool
    and younger may go to the nursery.

    for refreshments and to visit with church family and guests.

    Getting involved at Swift: upcoming 

    Sunday, March 22 — Both worship services will include a Fanny J. Crosby hymn sing. (See more information below.)

    Sunday, March 22 — Christian education committee will host a Swift Café fundraiser for summer camps for our children and youth. The menu will be fried fish, grits, coleslaw, baked beans, and desserts. Contact Tracy or Brett to help.

    Wednesday, March 25 — Food pantry distribution, 10 a.m. to noon in the fellowship hall

    Wednesday, March 25 — Handbell choir rehearsal, 5:30 p.m. in the sanctuary

    Thursday, March 26 — Lenten lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Foley United Methodist Church (See below for details.)

    Youth activities 

    Sunday, March 29 — SWAG (for children in grades K–4) and GphiG (youth in grades 5–12), 4 to 6 p.m. at the church. Please contact Tracy Akins if you can help by providing the meal for this or future dates.

    The season of Lent 2020

    Printed copies are available in the back of the church.

    Daily readings will post on Facebook or you can read from the church website.

    Lenten lunches canceled 

    The remainder of the ecumenical Lenten lunches for the season at Foley United Methodist Church have been canceled because of concerns about the coronavirus pandemic. They were originally scheduled for each Thursday through April 2.

    Now hiring 

    Swift Church announces an upcoming vacant position in the capacity of administrative assistant. Applicants should have good secretarial and people skills along with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, publishing software. Having knowledge using Facebook and other social media applications is an asset. This position is currently job-shared and requires working 24 hours a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) every other week.
