Do you have other suggestions? Please contact Mary ASAP at 251-295-5267 (call or text) or marymcnair@centurylink.net so there’s time to confirm cost and seating for other locations.

      ►GriefShare group beginning Sept. 21

Have you lost a child, spouse, parent, friend, or coworker? On Wednesday evenings, beginning Sept. 21 (6:30 until 8 p.m.) at Liberty Church in Foley, an opportunity will be offered for you to receive support and strength to help you through your journey of grief. As one recent attendee has shared, “It is a comfort to know we are not alone and that it will get better as we work through our grief.” Over the years, GriefShare has helped so many individuals through the grieving process.

GriefShare is a 13-week care group. No verbal participation is required to be a part of GriefShare. You may simply come and listen and receive the valuable insights gained in our weekly videos and the sharing given by others. Participant guides will be made available. Risk-taking mission and service
      ►Food pantry

The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. to serve the community.

This week, we served 48 families and 138 people.

      ►A place to live

We know of a single woman whose life is in transition who is looking for a place to live in the Foley area beginning in October. She’s quiet, has good references, has no pets, and has a limited budget. As we seek to minister to her, perhaps you know of someone with a guest room or mother-in-law apartment? Also, she is open to the possibility of serving as a live-in caregiver. Please contact one of the pastors for more information.

      Intentional faith development
►Adult Sunday school class led by Bill and Catherine

Bill and Catherine’s class will meet at 9 a.m. in room 2 in the annex. The class is studying the book of Genesis. Join us.

►‘Snacks with Susan and Daryl’ Sunday school class

Susan and Daryl’s class meets at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall. They are studying “Simon Peter” by Adam Hamilton.

Pastor Jody Beth will be on vacation Sept. 19–25. We pray she will have a safe and restful week.

      Extravagant generosity
      ►Tithes and offerings

Thank you for your generous pledges and ongoing offerings. Your support and commitment to Swift Church is greatly appreciated.

      Prayers and joys
      ►Please let us know . . .

Please call the church or email to notify us of any joys or concerns; birthdays, anniversaries, health issues or family deaths so that we may put it in the weekly emailed announcements for your church family to pray with you or to praise God for your joy. (We don’t publish personal prayer concerns on the website.)
