►Preaching today . . .
We welcome the Rev. Dr. Julian W. Walthall as our guest minister.
The Rev. Walthall is a native of Newbern up in Alabama’s Black Belt. He retired in 2021 after serving four churches over 39 years: three in the Presbytery of South Alabama and one in West Virginia. He and his wife, Carolyn, live in Daphne. They have two sons: David, an English and political science teacher at a university in Siena, Italy, and Claiborne, an environmental attorney in Albany, New York. In retirement, Julian is active in Baldwin County Master Gardeners and manages a family farm in the Black Belt, where he enjoys gardening, fishing and hunting. The Walthalls try to see their three grandchildren in upstate New York as often as possible.
►Preparing for worship
If you worship with Swift online, you can visit our website and view the bulletin prior to the Sunday service. This will help you prepare for worship and also to follow along as you view the service on Sunday.
Everyone is invited to the fellowship hall for tasty treats, coffee, tea and other beverages and fellowship immediately after the worship service.
God is good all the time.

Mission and service
►Food pantry
The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. to serve the community.
This week, we served 52 families and 161 people.
Your support is needed to build a pool of people to pick up donations from Publix every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Also, help is needed with unloading of the senior boxes that we receive from Feeding the Gulf Coast once a month. You will need to be able to lift 40 pounds.
If you are interested or know of someone who might be interested, please consider getting involved or at least share the opportunity to volunteer with others.
If you have questions or want to want to volunteer, please contact Al Sprouse (251-744-1944) or Jan Taylor (251-978-6418).
Faith development
►Snacks with Susan and Daryl Sunday school class
Join us as we study “The Gospel of Mark,” which is a deep dive into the second book of the Gospels — a look at the stories and parables, the characters and the events.
►Adult Sunday school class led by Bill and Catherine
Join us as we continue our study in the book of Genesis. We meet at 8 a.m. in annex room 2.
►Youth Sunday school class, led by Sheree Waters
The youth Sunday school class meets at 8 a.m. in annex room 3.
►Do you love children and enjoy sharing Bible stories?
Since we do not have an interim pastor, the preschool is looking for volunteers to share during chapel time at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays. The stories are provided and you would only need to say a prayer and share the story. You could even lead in a song if you would like.
If you are interested in volunteering for a Wednesday, please call or email the church office and let us know.
Generosity
►Tithes and offerings
Thank you for your generous pledges and ongoing offerings. Your support and commitment to Swift Church is greatly appreciated.
Prayers and joys
►Please let us know . . .
Please call the church or email to notify us of any joys or concerns; birthdays, anniversaries, health issues or family deaths so that we may put it in the weekly emailed announcements for your church family to pray with you or to praise God for your joy. (We don’t publish personal prayer concerns on the website.)
Thank you all at Swift Church for praying for my great-grandson, Kayson Edward Gilligan. He is doing very well and now weighs more than 4 pounds. God is good and great at answering prayers. — Stephanie
►Please remember our military friends and families in your prayers.
