| ►‘Snacks with Susan and Daryl’ discussion class | |
Sundays at 9 a.m. in annex room 4
Have you ever been a little intimidated by Revelation in the New Testament?
The apostle John wrote his letter to a certain group of people in a particular place at a specific time. Although it was written to them, it also was written for us. “The Overcomers” video series takes a chapter-by-chapter view of Revelation rather than a line-for-line deep dive, helping readers practically understand what God wants to say to us today through this extraordinary book written thousands of years ago.
“The Overcomers” also talks about how we should view current events, knowing that the writers of the New Testament understood themselves to be living in the “end times” or “last days.”
Join the “Snacks with Susan and Daryl” class at 9 a.m. today for the beginning of this eight-part study by Matt Chandler. We’ll watch, discuss and snack as we learn what God is telling us.
| ►Adult Bible study class, led by Bill and Catherine | |
Sundays at 9 a.m. in annex room 2
Today the adult Bible study class will contiune a verse-by-verse study of the Gospel of Luke. This synoptic gospel was beautifully written by the highly educated Gentile physician Luke. This book and Luke’s other book (the Book of Acts) are both addressed to his benefactor, Theophilus.
Please join us as we plan to study the Book of Acts next.
Visitors and new class members are always welcome. If you are new to the class, don’t worry about missing previous lessons. As in the rest of the Bible, each verse is almost a lesson in itself. We have coffee brewed and take turns bringing pastries.
We look forward to seeing you and learning from the Bible together.

Prayers and concerns
| ►Please let us know . . . | |
Please email the church office (office@swiftchurch.org) with any joys or prayer requests so that they may be included in the weekly prayer list. Names remain on the list for four weeks, unless we are notified that they’re in need of continued prayers. If a name is removed that needs to remain on the list, please complete a prayer request card during the Sunday service or contact the church office. You can also use the form on the church website to submit prayer requests. The prayer list is included in the bulletin and will also be available in the monthly newsletter email. (We don’t publish personal prayer concerns on the website.) Please notify us of any joys or concerns; birthdays, anniversaries, health issues or family deaths.
■ Please remember our military friends and families in your prayers.
■ Mary McNair is home and doing well. We are glad to have her back.
