■ Christmas banquet |
Thursday, Dec. 14 • 6 p.m.
The Gift Horse Restaurant
209 W. Laurel Ave., Foley
The cost per person is $23.95 plus tax and gratuity, paid at the time of the dinner.
Everyone will pay for their own meal at the restaurant, so no money will be collected ahead of time. Reservations must be made by noon on Dec. 7. Any requests made after that date will be up to the restaurant to add or to put on a waiting list, in case others cancel on short notice. We have to pay for any reservations made, whether folks show up or not. Everyone will be paying for their own meal at the restaurant, so no money needs to be given to the church or to Mary McNair ahead of time.
A sign-up sheet will be on the table in the fellowship hall to confirm if you plan to attend. Please double-check the list to be sure if you’re on it to come or to mark off if you attended last year but will not make it this year.

►Please support Hayden Farmer’s family | |
Hayden Farmer, granddaughter of John and Linda Gilmore, has been on our prayer list for a long time, and will continue to be, as she has undergone a bone marrow transplant for the very rare condition of Fanconi anemia. While in Cincinnati, Ohio, her parents will be staying at Ronald McDonald House. Unfortunately, it is not totally free, so the family is asking for your help in collecting can pull tabs to be turned in to RMH to help with their expenses. You can add them to the jar in the fellowship hall.
This is going to be a months-long process, so please keep them coming with continued prayers for Hayden’s healing.
If you would like to read specific updates posted daily by the parents, visit https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/haydensfajourney. Ignore prompts asking for donations which do not go to Hayden and are not required to view posts.

Prayers and joys
►Please let us know . . . | |
Please call the church or email to notify us of any joys or concerns; birthdays, anniversaries, health issues or family deaths so that we may put it in the weekly emailed announcements for your church family to pray with you or to praise God for your joy. (We don’t publish personal prayer concerns on the website.)
■ Our prayer shawl ministry is touching lives all across the country. We have sent at least 25 shawls to family and friends who have been very ill and/or homebound.
■ Thank you to the many veterans for their service to our country.
■ Betty’s friend Pat is doing well from lung cancer treatment. Please keep praying.
Ladies prayer shawl ministry,
Thank you so much for the lovely prayer shawl. I know many hours of prayer and love went into creating this lovely piece. I shall cherish it and think of each of you and the wonderful ministry you are providing. God bless you... I am recovering greatly.
