      We invite everyone to join us for fellowship time, immediately after the 10:00 service, in the fellowship hall.

      The fellowship deacons set out such items as cookies, cakes, cupcakes, doughnuts, fruit, etc., along with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and other beverages.

      ►Sanctuary flowers 

      Please consider donating flowers for the sanctuary and chapel observing your special occasions and/or remembrances. Contact the office to reserve your date or Susie Alexander at 251-943-4145.

      ►Volunteers for worship 

      Are you willing to serve as an acolyte, as a greeter/usher or lead “time with the children”? Contact Greg McNair, worship elder, at 251-965-1003 or

      ■ Session meeting — 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 16, in the annex, room 2

      ■ Preschool graduation — 6 p.m., Thursday, May 19, in the church sanctuary

      ■ Chancel choir rehearsal at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday in the choir room

      ■ Handbell choir rehearsal at 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays in the choir room

      ■ Intercessory prayer group — 9 a.m. every Wednesday in the chapel

      ■ Finance committee meeting — 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, in the annex, room 2

      ►Swift Church scholarship 

      Our church offers a scholarship for church members who are graduating high-school students in pursuit of higher education at the post-secondary or vocational school level. If you would like more information about the scholarship or an application, please contact the church office at 251-943-8367.

      Risk-taking mission and service 
      ►Food pantry 

      The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. to serve the community.

      This past Wednesday, we served 31 families, including 63 individuals.

      Intentional faith development 
      ►‘Snacks with Susan and Daryl’ Sunday school class 

      Susan and Daryl’s class will meet at 9 a.m. in the fellowship hall.

      ►Adult Sunday school class led by Cheryl  

      Cheryl’s class will meet at 9 a.m. in room 2 in the annex.

      ►Sunday school for children and youth 

      Tracy Akins’s class meets at 9 a.m. in the youth room in the annex.
