|
The food pantry is open every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. to serve the community.
This week, we served 42 families and 140 people.
Please bring your extra paper bags and (dozen only) egg cartons to church this Sunday. Thanks for your help.
If you are interested in being a liturgist during worship, please contact Pastor Michael or the church office to let us know. There will be training in late January or early February.
►VOLUNTEER URGENTLY NEEDED
Due to Mary McNair being scheduled for surgery on Feb. 2, and anticipating not being able to do the Facebook live video for worship services for several weeks, a volunteer is urgently needed so training can be conducted this Sunday, if possible, but definitely by the next. The church’s tablet will be formatted for this use. It’s not difficult, but needs someone committed to do this for at least one month, if necessary. Please call or text Mary McNair at 251-295-5267 if you are willing to do this so training can be conducted.
|
►Snacks with Susan and Daryl Sunday school class
We have moved to our new space and hope that you can join us at 8 a.m. in annex room 4. We are studying the book “If You Want To Walk on Water, You’ve Got To Get Out of the Boat” by John Ortberg.
►Adult Sunday school class led by Bill and Catherine
Join us as we study the book of Genesis. We meet at 8 a.m. in annex room 2.
|
Thank you for your generous pledges and ongoing offerings. Your support and commitment to Swift Church is greatly appreciated.

Prayers and joys
►Please let us know . . . | |
Please call the church or email to notify us of any joys or concerns; birthdays, anniversaries, health issues or family deaths so that we may put it in the weekly emailed announcements for your church family to pray with you or to praise God for your joy. (We don’t publish personal prayer concerns on the website.)
■ Mary McNair was able to get insurance to cover a portion of her surgery.
■ Betty Sizemore attended church on Sunday after her surgery.
■ Thank you to Starbucks for generous donations to our food pantry.
■ Cathy Rogers informed us that our preschool is at full capacity.
■ Grateful to all the people in the church that do work every day without recognition. Thank you to all.
Birthdays and anniversaries are now listed by month in the church newsletter, rather than weekly in the announcements.
►Please remember our military friends and families in your prayers.
Names are listed in the monthly newsletter.
