    Youth activities

Sunday, Feb. 16 — Swift youth are helping Pastor Kim Vanbrimmer lead worship today at Orange Beach Presbyterian Church, telling the congregation about their Montreat experiences and then holding a bake sale after the worship service. The Orange Beach church does not have a youth program so Kim’s daughter, Hailey, participates with Swift youth. Last year, we raised about $700 at our bake sale in Orange Beach and that money went to help send our youth to Montreat.

Sunday, Feb. 23 — SWAG (for children in grades K–4) and GphiG (youth in grades 5–12) will meet from 4 to 6 p.m. at the church.

    South Baldwin ecumenical Lenten Lunches

The 11th season of Lenten Lunches begins on Thursday, Feb. 27, and continues each Thursday through April 2. They are held at Foley United Methodist Church, 915 N. Pine St., from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. There is a simple lunch (suggested donation of $5), followed by a highlight of a local social service program, special music, a Lenten devotional and closing prayer. On March 19, our assistant pastor, Jody Beth, will lead the devotional. You are invited to attend any or all of the lunches. No reservation is required and dress is casual.
