God is good all the time.
■ Wednesday, Sept. 2 — Adult choir rehearsal, 6 p.m. in the sanctuary
■ Thursday, Sept. 3 — Theology on Tap, 5:30 p.m. at El Paso Mexican Restaurant.
■ The intercessory prayer group is taking a break during the summer months. Watch for updates for when the group will resume meeting this fall.
■ Our food pantry is open to serve the community on Wednesdays from 10 to 11 a.m.

This week the food pantry served 68 families, including 266 people.
If you are interested in helping or know of someone who might be interested, please consider getting involved or at least share the opportunity to volunteer with others.

The pantry needs egg cartons and plastic grocery bags.

Today the class will continue Andy Stanley’s “Your Move” video discussion series.
In this four-session video-based study, we will learn how every decision and its outcomes become a permanent part of our story, what to do when we feel the need to pause before taking action, and how to make more of this life by making sound decisions. We are all faced with decisions that we never anticipated having to make.
And we usually must make them quickly.
Why not get some help in making decisions that will bring glory to God?
Join the “Snacks with Susan and Daryl” class at 9 a.m. for some thoughtful discussion and fellowship. The study will conclude Sept. 13.

Sundays at 9 a.m. in annex room 2
Today the adult Bible study class will begin a verse-by-verse study of the Gospel of Luke. This synoptic gospel was beautifully written by the highly educated Gentile physician Luke. This book and Luke’s other book (the Book of Acts) are both addressed to his benefactor, Theophilus.
Please join us as we plan to study the Book of Acts next.
Visitors and new class members are always welcome. If you are new to the class, don’t worry about missing previous lessons. As in the rest of the Bible, each verse is almost a lesson in itself. We have coffee brewed and take turns bringing pastries.
We look forward to seeing you and learning from the Bible together.

Please complete the prayer request cards provided at the worship service and place in the offering plate to assure that the spelling and information is listed correctly. You can also use the form on the church website to submit prayer requests. The prayer list is included in the bulletin and will also be available in the monthly newsletter email. (We don’t publish personal prayer concerns on the website.) Please notify us of any joys or concerns; birthdays, anniversaries, health issues or family deaths.
■ Please remember our military friends and families in your prayers.
■ The food pantry received a beautiful stainless-steel refrigerator from the Whirlpool Corp. as a donation this week. This will allow for more storage capacity for produce each week and replaces an older, smaller refrigerator that was leaking water.
