GETTING INVOLVED WITH THE YOUTH AT SWIFT CHURCH
Today, after the 10:00 service, Lauren Peters, Youth Ministry Consultant, will be teaching the second congregational training session, “Youth and Their Culture” in the Chapel.
When it comes to working with young people, one excuse used over and over again by congregation members is that they are too out-of-touch with the culture and what youth deal with on a day-to-day basis. Take the small step of attending this session to understand why the church may need to rethink the way it invests in the lives of these youth during this busy and trying time in their lives due to changing cultural norms.
Stop by and get some goodies at the Youth Bake Sale between 8:00 and 10:00 service or after the 10:00 service. Donations will help support registration fees and travel to the Montreat middle and high school conferences this summer. We have 6 youth attending the conferences: Jessica Gosa, Logan Harris, Sarah Kleinschmidt, William Vanbrimmer, Ethan Zook and Shane Zook.
