E-MAIL ADDRESSES NEEDED
We are still trying to update our email address book since it didn’t transfer with new software in the office. If you did not receive a copy of our newsletter this week, that means we do not have your current address. Please email the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org with your current email address or write it next to your name on the attendance sheet if you haven’t already done so. We do not want to leave anyone out of our communication loop.
OPPORTUNITY FOR MISSION, SERVICE: AND FELLOWSHIP
We are looking for some "Bakers and Buyers and Hosts" to provide light refreshments for our fellowship time after 10:00 service. Would you like to bake a few banana breads or a couple of dozen cookies? Or would you prefer to stop by the store and buy some goodies? Or, maybe you would rather make the coffee and put the food out on trays, or stay after to wipe the tables and put away the leftovers. If you could help out in any way, please contact the church office or sign up on the sheet provided in the Fellowship Hall. It is in giving that we receive.
SUNDAY SCHOOL KICKOFF CELEBRATION CONTINUES
Everyone is invited to continue our celebration with a pool party at the home of Bob and Ginny Kleinschmidt on Sunday, September 14th, from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. Hamburgers, hot dogs, and chips will be furnished. Please bring your own drinks and lawn chairs. RSVP to Ginny @ 949-7605 or email@example.com to help her know how much food to prepare.

The Nominating Committee seeks your suggestions of candidates for the four Deacon positions and the four Elder positions to be filled this year. Deacons fill an important role in the congregational care and fellowship of our church, and Elders serve as the governing body. If you know of someone who would be an excellent candidate or if you would like to be considered, please complete the recommendation form included in your bulletin and place it in the offering plate; or you may want to take it home, pray on it, and bring it back next week. Or you may contact a member of the Nominating Committee – Don Aspray, Paula Brewer, Donna Donald, Linda Estes, Marvin King, Susan Pichoff and Lezli Thomason. They will contact the person(s) you have suggested.
